THEATRE ROYAL.—HENRI KETTEN'S PIANO RECITALS.
Tin: last of these recitals was «iven last night, for the benefit of Mr., F. P. Pines the director. Hie programme comprised " The H.-u-ruouiouh Blacksmith" of Uundel • a scherzo in B Hat liiiiior, from Chopin • a romance from Taimhauser (Wa<uier*) - Turkish March, and the serenade from "Don Giovanni;" an "Ave Maria" serenade, and the "Funeral Jlareh of a Marionette/" by Gounod, and a paraphrase from Verdi's "Aida." This completed the first part. The second part included a berceuse by Chopin : the presto in E minor by Mendelssohn ; "In Tniite" (Schubert) • Lied Ohne Wort and Marguerite an Rouet; The Postillion, aud the Hungarian Rhapsodie of Liszt. As on the° previous nights, Mr. Ketteii was loudly applauded after every selection. We do uot recollect any previous instance where the general consensus of opiuiou of the best judges of music accorded such high praise to a musical performer. It cannot "Us said that these recitals have been patronised as their merits deserved.
