[FROM Our. OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] Thames, Thursday. Albornia.—The usual monthly cleaning-up and retorting for this company took place on Monday last, and produced 3860z5. lOdwts. of melted gold. For this return about 404 tons of general stuff were crushed, and considering that there was very little picked stone obtained, the return is a fair one. Moanataiari.—The fortnightly cleaniugup and retorting for this company took place 0:1 Saturday last, and produced the poor return of 7iSozs. lOdwts. of gold. During the fortnight about ISB tons of general stuff were crushed. Waiotaiii.—The usual monthly cleaningup and retorting for this company took place on Tuesday, and produced 2050z5. lOdwts. of melted gold. For this return some 145 tons of general stuff were crushed. Considering that the battery has only been running about a fortnight, the return is a very good one, and almost up to the average of the late excellent returns.

New Nobth Devon.—On Tuesday last the mauager of the 'mine cleaned up and retorted the whole of the amalgam accumulated during the last four weeks' crushing, from which 2500z5. lOdwts. of melted gold were obtained. For this return about 140 loads of general.stuff were crushed. Since the last cleaning up the whole of the quartz put through the battery has shown a very good average, and there now seems to be little 'doubt that the block of ground in hand above the 70-feet level -will continue to yield throughout good quality crushing stuff. Very good indications have been met with in the winze going down below the floor of the 70-feet level, and consequently the prospects of the block below proving a good one are considerably enhanced. SewGoldes Crown. —The usual monthly cleaning up and retorting for this company took place on Monday last, and produced 2200z5. lOdwts. melted gold. For" this return 350 tons of general stuff were crashed. This mine appears likely to work itself into a better position now. Several large blocks of ground have been opened up on various lodes from which a large quantity of payable crushing stuff can easily 'be broken. The manager is also about to test the numerous lodes which have been intersected on the 170-feet level, and there is little doubt that some of these at least will produce really first-class quartz. Kur.vnuj.—A cleaning up and retorting for this company took place on Wednesday, and produced 99ozs. melted, gold. About 100 tons of general stuff were crushed for this return. [IY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENTS.] Gkahamstown, Thursday. Gold Returns. —- Moanataiari tribute, Kneebone, 2Goz3. 9dwts. ; Kurauui tribute, Jenkins, 2ozs. lOdwts. Moanataiaiu.—Kneebone and party, who are tributing in this mine, have crushed ten tons of general stuff, for the return of 26ozs. 9d\vts. of gold. .••....- It is rumored here that a rich specimen has been found at Te.Aroha, and that the discoverer is on his way to Auckland, to show the stone to those .interested in mining. Cobomandel, Thursday. Tiernan's claim is getting very rich specimens, and very coarse gold. About lOOlbs. are in hand ; more is expected next breaking down. Blackmore's claim is getting very good picked stone, and the proprietors are pushing in the drive to cut the reef. The Just in Time are cleaning up the crushing of five tons. A very good yield is expected.
