MR. ALFERD BUCKLAND REMUERS SHEEP FAIR.
Mr. A. Buckland held his first sheep fair of. this season at the Remuera yards yesterday. There was a very large number yarded, and a great number of buytre; indeed it might be said to be the mosc euccefysful fair that has been held for several years. The exhibits were much superior in number and character to those of last year, but there were exceptional, circumstances on that occasion. There was a scare prevalent regarding scab, and for some time previously ' there had been a disposition to get rid of sheep and go in.for cattle. The3e changes seem to be periodical, and judging from the result of yesterday's sale, it appears that our farming friends are returning to "their muttons." Mr. Anderson's rams were sold privately for Napier, and several other lots were quitted in the same m;\nner. The prices were far in excess of expectation, and scarcely a lot offered was passed. The following is the result of thesale:— ' . ■..■'.
