Mr. Luke was caUed. to the* chair. Bowden read the report and balance sheet. The total St. 1 5s ld < and the expenditure itv 1 v , • The nnm ber of scholars on the xoll at the end of December last was 155, and the a\erage attendance last month wns 114 ihe chairman congratuled the district and committfe on the success of the school, and moved the adoption of the reported balance sheet. Rev. I< Gould seconded the motion. Z~ e 11 j°t 1 u n f^ ter soine debate, was agreed t°- and. the following were duly nominated of committee Messrs. Bowden, Bush, Day, Fairburn, Gordon, Sutherland, «turges, Tanfield King, Wills, Stringer, A ballot was taken, which resulted as follows : Bowden, 73; Fairburn. ; 5 r ' Sutherland, 47 ; Sturges, 4b; Tanfield, 44; Stringer, 44 ; King, 30; 23 ' 2S; Han-ison iy. the chairman declared the first seven duly elected.
