EXCURSION TO THE GREAT BARRIER. A treat of no ordinary kind ia prepared for the citizens, by the proposed excursion of the Union Company's new sterner Itotomahana, to

thoGie.it Barrier, on Now Year's Day. Thu to be remarkably fast, while her fittings anil internal arrangements are not equalled by any boat in tbe colony. The places to be visited, Ports Fitzroy and Aberorombie, are celebrated for their romantic scenery, and being comparatively unknown to the bulk of tlm inhabitants of this city, the opportunity afforded by this excursion should not be lost. The return fare bis been fixed at the low sum of 7a C.I, and the hour of departure will be 9 a.m., arriving in town again ut 7 p.m., thus allowing those on pleasure bent ample time to visit any amusement prepared for that evening.
