NEW ZK.U.ANI» Hekald Thursday evening. Messrs. K. ami A. Isaacs held a ."ale of Mcl-bourne-made clothing ami Geelong tweed yesterday. The attendance was good and fair prices were obtained. AUCKLAND CATTLE MAUKET. MR. ALFRED BUCKLAND'.S WEEKLY REPORT. At the Ilaymarket, on Friday, hay brought from 2s Gd to 03 3d the cwt.; oits, 2s 1M ; maize, 4s Gd ; inferior. 3s 1 1 tlm hu«h*d : draught horses, £20 to £30; riding horses, £4 to £12 each. At Pukekohe, on Monday, 120 he-*d of cattle were brought forward, ami met witii a steady sale at late values. At the wool sale, 011 Wednesday, 214 bales were offered, and sill lots sold with one exception Prices wete higher, about l.Jd the lb., than at first sale, and ranged from s|d to S*d for wool in grease, to 10 : M, the highest price obtained for washed wools. Trices were highest at the conclusion of the sale. At Renuiera, on Thursday, store cattle were in good demand. Two-year-old steeis varied from £0 2s Gd to £7, and other stores in proportion. Fat cattle were in average number, but heavier weights than usual— l.>o head yarded. Prices for Auckland cattle ranged betweeu 20-4 and 2Ss ; ship-borne 2os to 2**3 the lOOlbs. Store sheep at nominal prices. Fat sheep in short supply, but without improvement in price, and ranged from 2d for ewes, to od for choice wethers. Lambs were in les3 than average supply, but lower in piice about onethird ; good lambs selling from Gs to 8s Gd each. A few small fat pigs were freely competed for, and good prices realised.
