Tho Waikato Hotel, just built by Mr. P. Le Quesne, who is an old settler in tho Waikato district, is another evidence of tho progress of this fast-advancing district. It stands at the east end of the Hamilton Traffic Briclee, now being constructed across the Waikato River, in a most prominent position and on high ground, on the main road to Cambridge and the Piako, and near tho Thames Valley Railway Terminus. The building has a frontage of 51 feet to GreyBtreet and 90 feet to Clyde-street. It is built of brick, and cemented outside, in the Doric style of architecture, plastered inside, . papered, painted, and finished throughout in first-class style. It haa good stabling, i &c., and the extent of the allotment on which it stands is one acre, with a frontage I of seven chains.
