THE GOVERNOR'S VISIT TO OTAGO.
'Qci-:knkt"'\vn', Thursday. A TEr.EORAji in to Star says : —" The Governor and suite left here in the Mountaineer at a quarter past 10 this morning. IJe was highly pleaded with the trip, and expressed himself d"li«hted with the climate and country. Sir Hercules pronounced thy Bcnery to be unsurpassable by Switzerland, and promises another visit to the district next summer. Wet* r.lay morning soma of the party went shooting, while Sir Hercules, L:idy Robinson, and Captain St. John, aide-de-camp, took a ramble in the mountains. Id! thu afternoon whole party, accompauied by tho proceed! d to Arrowtown, and were well received there. The weather has been, and is, grand, although somewhat cold. Great preparations are being m:ule in Duncrliu for the reception, and triumphal archf-s are being erected in Princes-street.
