A meeting took place at noon, yesterday, at tho Council Chambers, for thu purpose of hearing objections to tho Purges Amendincut.Roll for iho coining y<?ar. Present : — HU Worship the Mayor (in the chair), Councillors oo9s>rave, Buchauan, Thompson, Fluming, Crowther, and Hay.. The C.'iair-m.-in Btated the object of the meeting, and oilled up'iil the Town C'lurk to produce the register, with any thrfc had been ]o.!ged. Mr. Pbiiips, Town Clerk, produced tho \V r ards Burgess Roll, and stated that no objections had been received. On tho motion of Councillor Hnub.an.in, seconded by Councillor-. Crowther, it was agreed that the list beeit;u(;<l by tho chairman as correct. Tho meeting then dispersed.
