BLIiXiILJiM. March 29.—Wheat, os, little salo ; barley, changing hands freely at 5.5; oats, 2s tid. f.uuicrs decline to sell, holding for higher rates. O AMARU. March 29.—There is a considerable quantity of grain in the town stores, but no amount of business is yet done iu the present uncertain state of tho market. Little speculation is indulged in, and tho transactions are almost entirely confiued to supplying actual requirements. During the pa»t day or two there has been a brisker inquiry f>r wheat, but it is probably only temporary. Oats exibibit a decided downward tendency. Prime samples of malting barley aro in demand, and with higher prices ruling, it is surprising our farmers do not go iu for more extensive cultivation. It h.ts commanded excolleut prices for some years past. i'hs crop is more pxecarious to grow than either wneat or oat-n, but the enhanced value ought to bo a good sot-ofT in this respect. A large portion of our district is suitable for its cultivation. The demand for potatoes is slacker at present than it lus beon recently, but a tiruier market is anticipated in a uhort time. The following aro curreut quotatioas I'rinie milling wheat, 3s 3d to os 5d ; fowl-feed, 2s Gd ; prime seed oats, 2s 5d ; ditto feed oats, 2s Id ; ditto malting barley, 5s to its G-.l; potatoes, C9s per ton ; flour, i'S lOs to £9 ss, f.0.b.; oatmeal, £i 7 ; pollaru, £5 ; bran, £3 15s to £4.
