AUCKLAND STOCK and SHARE MARKET

There has been a very limited amount of business during the month, and prices have ruled very much lower in nearly all our locm.l stocks. Sales of Bank of New Zealand (new issue) were made at £17 12s Gd ; there are now buyers at LIS, aud very few otfering, with a decided upward tendency. Sales of Bay of Islands Coal shares have been made at £3 (£7 10* paid up), at which price there are still buyers. Iu miniug stocks prices arc almost nomiual. Tho pump is still stopped, And until somo meaus tire adopted to enable the Tumpiug Association to make a fresh start, we cannot expect to see much life or energy in mining enterprise.
