THE BAY OF ISLANDS ROLL COMMISSION.
[by telegraph, from our correspondent.] Hoklakga, Saturday. Mr. Bryce, M.H.R.," arrived here from Mangonui, via Mangataniwha, at 1 p.m., and two hours later the rest of the party came, haviDg travelled overland from the Bay of Islands with a pack-horse; Messrs. John Williams, M.H.R., Edward Williams, and W. P. hemp also accompanied them. Mr. Bryce opened the Royal Commission in the Court-house at 3 p.m., and formally adjourned it to II a.m. on Monday morning, stating that he would then proceed to take Mr. Von Stunner's evidence. A great many natives are waiting here. [from; axother correspondent.] Mr. Bryce and party arrived overland this afternoon. The lioy&l Commission was formally opened at 3 p.m., and adjourned until Monday, at 11 a.m. It is expected that the inquiry will terminate here on Wednesday next, and that the Commission will then adjourn to Auckland, for the purpose of takiDg | evidence there.
