UA3IARU. ♦January 10.—At this period of the year rxnsactions in wheat are, of course, afc a coin;»l°te standstill. Small lines of new oats have hands for forward delivery at from 2s :U to 3s. The crops generally throughout the district are looking well, and promise an abundant harrest, aud wheat will probably open at from 3s9d to 4s, though recent advices from Victoria have a tendency to check speculation.
