. ENGLISH CABLEGRAMS. [press agency.] SYDNEY, November 27. LONDON, November 21. THE BRITISH AMBASSADOR, INTER. VIEWS THE CZAR. ALEXANDER REPUDIATES THE SEIZURE OF STAMBOUL. EVACUATION OF HERZEGOVINA BY TURKISH TROOPS. The British Ambassador at St. Petersburgh had a most cordial audience with the Emperor Alexander on the 2nd November. The Czar urged Mm that complete agreement should exist between Russia and England on the Eastern question, whose aims, he said, were identical. He solemnly gave his sacred ■word of honour that he had no intention of acquiring possession of Stamboul, and if fae was compelled to occupy Bulgaria, it would only be temporarily. The Czar deplored the feeling of distrust which existed in England towards Russia, and further said that the idea which had token possession of the British people, that Russia contemplated the conquest of India, vra3 absurd, such result being impossible. Russia is mobilising six army corps. The Turkish, troops are evactuating Herzegovina. The Earl Salisbury, Secretary of State for Tnflia, and the representative of England at the proposed conference on Eastern affairs, will visit the Dnke Decazes, Minister of Foreign affairs in France, also Berlin and Vienna. The result of the election for President of the United States of America Btill depends on the country votes.
