[FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] COROMANDEL, Monday. Union Beach. —On the road level the drive on the Green Harp leader is extended a total distance of 320 feet. On the SOfeet level the drive on the cross leader northward is still in the same bard bar of country. The leader is looking well, and averaging 6 inches wide. They have started No. 2 stope last week, from which the manager procured some good hauls of specimens. In the intermediate drive cross leader northward there is a little improvement in the country. They are now almost through it, and have Started No. 2 stope. Good gold is shewing in the face and a small parcel has been obtained since commencing. On the black reef the eastward stope is still going forward, and a little gold is seen at various times. ISO-feet level drive cross leader northward 96 feet in. The new cross-cut is in 20 feet. A new leader, 14 inches wide and shewing good stone, has been intersected. 2421b?, specimens are on hand. 22 tons quartz have been crushed from the Green Harp leader, which will clean up to-morrow. The Royal Oak obtained oOlbs. good specimen stone from the Little Wonder and Little and Good leaders. A good show is still left. . The Golden Spur (Warner's) obtained some good stone on Saturday, and more is expected. McLean's Pride of Tokatea.—The crushing is looking up for over 2ozs. to the ton. There was great excitement in town on Saturday night, on another rich vein of silver being struck at Rangitoto silver mine. .The manager reports striking on Friday at midnight another rich vein of silver ore 12 inches thick. He considers it superior to anything yet obtained.
