The Secretary for Stamps notifies that after the Ist of January next, all dnes, fees, fines, and penalties payable to Registrars must be paid by etamp. Fnll particulars relating to this regulation will be found in our advertising columns. Tenders for the snpply of provisions, &c, to the Destitute Children's Home will be received by Mr. G. W. Owen up to noon of the 30th instant (to-morrow). It is notified by Messrs. E. Porter and Co., Messrs. T. and S. Motrin, and Mr. Fendelow, that in future they will close their ' establishments at 2 o'clock each Saturday. As Professor Smith delivered it in his scientific lecture it was as follows :—' Filtration is sometimes assisted by the u«e of albumen." After filtration through the muddled head of the compositor it appeared thu» : " Flirtation is sometimes wrested by the use of the alderman!"
