Before W. C. Daldy and J. CosgraTe. E»qs., Justices.] Drunkenness.—Four persona were punished for the above offence. Crrv By-laws.—James Conley was charged with a breach of the City By-laws, by allowing two cows to be at large in Mechanics Bay. The defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined 5s and costs.—Jamea Axam was charged with a breach of By-law No. 1, by allowing his chimney to take fire on the 13th instant The defendant pleaded guilty, but stated that ho had only recently taken the house, and that his landlord assured him the chimney was clean. The nominal fine of Is and costs was inflicted.
