ANSWER TO " DION SNIP."
r To the Editor of the H Kr.AI.D. Sn:,—Noticing in to tlav's paper a letter sign' (1 " Dion Snip," which, under the guise of sympathy for the Rev. Mr. Wallis, attacks both you, Mr. Editor, the German Emperor, his Prime Minister, ami Protestants in particnlar, allow me space to set tlie Germans right The Kaiser and Prinec can do ' nought but what has been made law by a j majority of legislators, who are the people's representatives. They do not wish to suppress one religion or belief more than another, but that all of the Rev. Mr. Wallis's calibre 5 shall' abide by the laws made by themselves. No more is asked of them here. They elect j representatives who make laws for them, and then they object to abide by them. I say to 1 "Dion Snip," Rev. Mr. Wallis, etc., —teach 1 the rising generation "logic," that they may discern between "right and wrong," then ' we should have less kicking against the ' pricks. Is it not debatable ground if Peter, ' Paul, etc., had not done more good for their cause, if they had proceeded in a more con- " stitutional manner? Mr. Editor, fear no{ , law-breakers, but always expose them.— I am, &c., Prussia* s Auckland, January 29, 1875.
