MEETING OF ELECTORS AT THE WHAU.

A meeting of the electors, called by Mr. Macfarlaue, was held at the Whan last evening, and was well attended. Mr. Bollard occupied the chair, and the speakers, besides Mr. Macfarlane, were Messrs. Lamb, Staines, Carr, McKenna, and Stannus Jones. We have already given the political opinions of Mr. Macfarlane on several occasions, so that there is no need for repetition. The proposition of a vote of confidence in Mr. Macfarlane was negatived, and one in favour of Mr. Von der Heyde was carried instead.
