COROMANDEL.
[FEOir on a own oobebspondent.] Friday, 7,64 p.m. The Tokatea lodged 373 ozs. of gold to-day, making 785 ozs. for the month. The Royal Oak crußhing is looking much better. Xhe Neptune will finish crushing to-mor-row ; an ounce to the ton is expected. A large meeting was hold last night to protest aguinst leasing the tramway. Strong condemnatory resolutions were passed on the conduct of the petitioners, and a counter petition was drawn up to send to Auckland to-morrow. The petition is already very numerously signed. A rote of thanks was passed to the editor of the HEE AID for his action in the matter.
