They aU pleaded guilty, and were fined os and costs in each ease. -.J. Bright was then charged by John Leaning, with assaulting him on the 21st instant, by s'rikinir him. The defendant plowed _ guilty. Tho'prosecutor said he did not wish to press the charge, I '-.'.id if the accused would apologise before the Court, aud pay all costs, he would be satisfied ; '.o this the accused willingly agreed.—Two men, named Egau and Brown, were then charged by Constable Parker wim committing a breach of Hie peace, by fighting in the public highway, on the 3rd instant. Both persons plendei guilty, and ->ero bound over to keep the p. ace for six months,—themselves in ±'20 each, and one surety each of £10.— E. lloyle wis charged r.-ith a breach of the Vagrant Act, having couie to Constable Parker and lequested to be locked up, as h u no means of supporting hncse.f, being in a deplorable state. Sent to gaol for three months, without hard labour.— -XL Dixon v:us charge.!, on the information of Constable Parker, with haviu* broken a pane of glass anu commitled other depredations to property. j.ue accused pleaded guilty tosomo of t!ie other depredations, sueli as taking the wheel off a dray, misplacing the hotel lamp, ite. He said he was aurry, and not do the like again. Constable Parker said he did not Wish to press the charge, aud would ask the permission of the Court to withdraw it, oil the payment of costs. The Bench gave the uceusetl a little wholesome advice, aud dismissed him on the payment of 13s costs. The Court then rose.
