PORT OF RUSSELL.

Whaling.—The whaleship James Arnold, Capt. Briggs, proceeded to whaling "round ou 25th January. January 29— Napoleon, 322 tons, Fuller, from South Seas, with 1-iOO barrels eperm oil, 1100 ditto whale oil, 5000 lbs. whalebone. Captain Fuller reports as under : —Eliza, Diuioull, at Norfolk Island, GOO barrels, leaving lust April; Minuesotta, Pearce, at Norfolk Island, 1600 barrels, a'.i told ; Adilisou, Sinclair, at sen, 600 barrels, all told ; Tamerlane, Fordhaic, at sea, 6JO barrels, all told. The Eliza, Captain Dunond, from the Soutli Sea fishery, with 500 barrels sperm, having left Russell last March, has arrived at Iho Bay of Islands. Captain Dunond reports the Coral, Captain Potter ; Europa, Captain Mellor; Janet, Captain Macey; 3Siger, Captain Grant; and James Arnold, Captain Briggs ; are all well on board, but cannot give quantity of oil.
