FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22. [Before His Honor Judge Munro and Assessor Hare Wirekake.] [prom our own correspondent.] Tub Court which was adjourned on Tuesday last, reassembled this morning, at the American Theal re, Shortiand, and the attendance of natives whs very considerable, especially the tribe Ngatimuteru, represented by Mr. Mackay ; the following chiefs beinjr present in Court : —Ereatera, Tinipoaka, Kiera Warepa, llera Rittca, Harata l J atene, Reupene, Arama Karaka, Xakera te Rutu, Perereka te Putu, Te Harawira, Harawia (son of Te Moanstnui), Waraua, VVuiturutnri, llaiawira Jiaitira, Aperahama Tupou, and Te Poroa. The above are all joint claimants with Te ilira and his party, but are principally Queenites or frisnaly natives, there being only four or Cvo Hauhaus within tho precii'.cts of the Court Mr. Commissioner Clarke was seated to the right of the Judge, and the following geutle--1 men were preseni in their capa itt us ageirs, Sea., &a, Messrs. Wilson, Preece, Rice, .aid Mackay. After Mr. Hammond, the clerk, had been sworn as interpreter to the Court, . his Honor -aid he hoped that the Court would not unnecessarily be detained bv that tedious course of cross-examination which characterised the last sitting ; if so, he would have to charge the opposing parties with costs. Tho first claims called wen; those of lluepakari and Motungaio, for two blocks of land n ar to Hoopea, Ohinemuri.—.Mr. Kice uppeareil for the native claimant, L'oiaetu Poru and others.—Mr. Preece on behalf of Messrs. Martin and McCaskell, who contended that tlm portion of land had been adjudicated upon before by the Old L.uuls Court, and was eo removed from the jurisdiction of the present. Court. — After tho examination of Hcnare Pakara and Mr. McCaskell, the Court nismisaed the case, to bo adjudicated hereafter by the Lauds Claim Court.

When the ease was called Mr. Wilson and Rice appeared for the iNgatikoe claimants (Qucenhcs.) —Mr. Mackay said that Mr. Paris and himself appeared on Ijclmlt* i_»t' t-l»c o|>])oooi'i'.
