THE GAME LAW.

To the Editor of the Hehatj). Sib,—T have read with pleasure tho letter of " Waikaro" iu the Southern Cross, and willingly endorse all that he has said respecting tho tyranny of the law, and the destructive habits of the pheasants; but am not satisfied with the answer he givee to hie own question. Who framed tnis Act ? Had not the Acclimatisation Society something to do with it ? What members of the Auckland Team gave it their support? livery country district should aaceitain how their members voted on this despotic Act, and Call on thosa who supported it to resign their featsDespotic as the Act is it is very easily nullified. Let every settler refuse to take out a licensa, und let them combine to prosecute every license-holder that trespasses upon their land. Let this be done with firmness, and the Game Law will very soon be abrogated.—Yours, &c, M. P.
