NEW ZEALAND GAZETTES.
New Zealand Gazettes were published on the Ist, 6th, and 7th insts. 3he first contains an order that receivers of revenue and sub-treasurers shall pay in the balances in their hands to the bank by the 29th June, so that the financial accounts for the year may be completed as early and as fully as possible ; all persons having claims against the Government are requested to send them in as soon as possible, for the same purpose. A notice, issued by the Board of Trade, with reference to the prevention of sea scurvy, is published, as also a statement of the assets and liabilities of the different banks carrying on business in the colony for the quarter ending in March, together with an analysis of the ordinary revenue of the colony for the quarter ending 31st March, 1567. The Gazette of the 6th contains postal regulations fixing the charges on letters, books, and papers, sent from New Zealand to all parts of the world. The Gazette of the 7th contains an Order in Council putting in force certain regulations under the Debtors and Creditors Acts, 1862 and 1865, for the conduct of business Registrars of the Supreme Court, squestrators, trustees, receivers, attorneys, &c., employed in winding up insolvent estates ; also a circular of the Board of Trade respecting seamen picked up at sea; also memoranda received from the Secretary of State on the following subject "Disinfection;" "proceedings advisable to be taken in places attacked or threatened by epidemic diseaseand " precautions against cholera." This Gazette contains also the appointment by his Excellency of the Hon. Ponsonby Peacocke to be Commissioner of Crown Lands at Auckland; and the appointment of the Hon. Daniel Pollen, Government Agent at Auckland, to be Commissioner for Sale and Disposal of Confiscated Lands in this Province. Lieut. - Colonel Kenny to bo Inspector of the Volunteer Force, and Capt. VV. G. Stack to be Musketry Instructor of Volunteer Force in the North Island ; TV". J. Gundry to be lieutenant of Auckland Engineer Volunteers ; M. T. Clayton, Esq., to be surveyor of passenger ships at the Port of Auckland ; also notice of meeting, for 19th instant, for winding up the New Zealand Steam Navigation Company (Limited).
