: AUCKLAND. New Zealand llehald Office, Wednesday afternoon. The Customs Eeceipts for to-day amounted to £418 Is. j Mr. Samuel Cochrane sold at auction to-day, by ! order of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, two j houßes and allotments at tho Flagstaff, North Shore. They realised £220, David Burn, Esq., being tho purchaser. The same centlemnn also held an extensive wine and spirit and grocery sale, when, considering the terms wero cash, it was considered a highly satis* - factory one. The following prices woro obtained :— Bherry, 15s ; port, 23j ; clsret, 245; vinegar, Cs ; mosdle, 40s; champagne, 38s ; absinthe, 25s ; ■ salmon, 225; sugar, 4Jd ; ss.lt butter, 12Jd; herrings, ob 6d ; corks, Gd per gross; vermouth, 16s Cd ; sherry, 3a 3d per gallon ; port, 3s 9d do. ; Jeffrey's i ale, 6s Gd per dozen ; old torn, 12s; pale brandy, 7s per gallon ; absinthe, 14s per dozen ; goneva, os 6d per dozen ; liqueurs, 14s per dozen; sherry, 5s 6d per gallon, &c. The brick houses and allotment in Watefield- , street, sold by j\!r. Cochrano to-day, by order of ' tho Hegistrar of tho Supremo Court, was purchased by Mr. Wm. Bwlmson8 wl mson for £215. Tho farm at Taupaki realised 12s Gd per acre. Mr. L. W. Eaton sold at auction to-day, cs Bella Mary, from Hobart Town, apples, 3Jrt ppr lb. ; pears, 3d; jams, 3s to 9s 3d per dozen, &c. Messrs. Jones and Co. report selling at auction | to-day, tea, cheats " Dumemohe," Is Bid to la 9d per lb. ; ditto, ditto, "Tromui," Is 7id ; ditto, ditto, "Cedars No. 8," 2s Id; crystals sugar, 3|d (in bond) ; Morton's jams, 10s; pieties, 9s 9d ; bottle fruits, 15s 9d ; confectionery, lid; salad oil, 7a 9d ; castor oil, 7s ; lobsters, 10s ; sardines, 6s 9d ; pearl barloy, 2£d ; oatmeal, 2£d; kerosene, 4s 6d; plaid vestas, 8s Cd per gross; vestas, 250's, 23a per dozen. To-day, Mr. C. StiVlibury sold at auction a Buporior new piano, G-. Moore and Moore, 6-£ octaves, for £20; large carved gilt mirror, 445; 2 spring bottom couches, £4 each; harmonium, £G 7s Gd; mahogany 100 table, 445; handsome gilt timepiece, 38s ; feather beds, Is 3d pnr lb.; china tea service, green and gold, 30a ; plated cornet, 19s ; &c., &c. The above goods were tho property of Mr. Jamoß Mackay, Mount-street, who is removing to Onehunga.
