The usual monthly meeting of the above Society, took place on Tuesday iast, at the Criterion Hotel, Otahulm; Mr. It. Robertson, President, in the chair. The minutes of last meeting were read and t confirmed. o The Chairman said the report of the Slaugh-ter-houses and Markets Committee had been V sent to the Superintendent, but no answer had o yet been received. 0 PARIS EXHIBITION, 1867. ° A letter was read from Major Heaphy, as fol- j, lows :— f To the President of the New Zealand Agricultural j Society. j. Sir, —The Commissioners for collecting objects of r agric'iltural interest and value in the Province of f Auckland, for transmission to the Exhibition at Paris j in 1867, havo the honor to invito tho aid of tho f Society, in furthering the objects of the promoters of a the Kxhibitton. * Attached is a list of somo of tho principal articles a in respect to which it is desirable that this Province \ should be well represented.
