TAURANGA LAND SALE.

A most successful sale of town lots in the township of Tauranga was held on Monday, at the Waste Lands Office. Forty-five allotments were offered for sale, and every one of them was sold at a large advance. No allotment was over 25 perches in area, some only 15 perches, and the upset price was at the rate of £80 per acre. The whole extent of land offered was barely sis acres, and the gross sum realised was £3,411, or an average of nearly £600 per acre. The attendance was large, and we need scarcely say that the bidding was spirited. The following were the sales effected :—
