"We have received one day's Inter news frnm Sydney, and from the Empire of the ISth instant we extract commercial intelligence,which will be found elsewhere, and by reference to which it will be seen that the Sydney Chamber of Commerce passed the following resolution relative to the Panama service, " That, in the " opinion of tho Chamber, unless Sydney be " made the terminus for the main boats of tho " Panama line of steam communication, the " subsidy of this colony should be withdrawn." From "our Southern files wc see that Mr. Stafford has stated that New Zealand will not oppose the wish of S}-dney in this matter.
