We liuve to report that Kat Catttlo have not maintained tho rates that have been ruling for the last few weeks. We consider them fully five shillings the hundred pounds less than what they have been for tho last four weeks, and with a disposition only to purchase what wore prime qualities, medium qualities not, fully fat wero difficult to sell. We had a largo market but not of the best qualities ; dairy cows, therO was a good number brought into tho market andall sold at fair prices. Store Cattle—TherO was a good show of store cattle of difleront sorts which wore all sold about the same rates as have bean ruling for some time back. Sheep Market. —Wo had a large maikct of fat sheep and lambs which wore mostly all sold, wo consider them two or three shillings a head loss this week than last; medium qualities brought from 21s to 2os a head; some prime hillf-breds brought 3-Is each ; lambs brought 2153 and 24s each. Rous* Makket.—Wo had a full market of horses on Saturday last, but principally of an inferior class, both of draught and saddle horses, prices were considerably down from last week's rates, and sales difficult to effect, but still any horses that were really good sold at fair prices. Dburt Sale.—Wo hold our usual monthly sales at Orury this week. There was a fair sale of cattle and sheep. Merino ewes with half-bred lambs, brought 225. 6d. each; store cattlo and dairy cows Tided about the same as at Otahuliu. The following rates have ruled during the week. Provincial fattened eatlle, prime, 40s. per 100 lbs ; dairy cows, £10 to £15; young stnro stock steers £6 to £7 17s. Gd.; heifers £5 to £8; sheep, medium qualities, 225. Gd. to 255. good balf-breds, 33a. to 345. (id.; lambs, 235. to S is. Horse Market—inferior draught horses, £15 to £25 ; good extra heavy £25 to .£4.0 ; hacks, £8 to £20 ; superior ditto, £20 to £25 ; light harness horses £15 to £30; maize, 6s. 3d. to Gs. 6d. per bushel; hay, £4 to £5 per ton. MR. ALFRED lIUCKLASB'S WEEKLY REPORT. At the Haymarket on Saturday fodder was in usual supply; meadow hay brought about £4 t e ton, and oaten hay about £6. Maize dull of sale at 6s 3d the bushel. A largo muster of unbroken horse stock, generally of middling quality, sold at low prices. At tho Triangle, about 30 bead grown cattle, threefourths fat, sold freely, at fully late rates. At Newmarsct mi Thursday there was a large muster of stock. Storo cattle, in middling condition, sold at relutively high rates : and penß of three-year old steors. in fresh condition, brought from £8 2s Gd to £9 each. Fat cattlo were plentiful, but not generally of prime quality; thoy wero lower in price about 5s the lOOlbs.; a few animals realised 40s. tho lOOlbs., bu' the average of the market was about 32s the lOOlbs. Sheep offered plentifully; there is a steady inquiry for ewes at full prices, anu store wethers were at lato rates ; but fat sheep were lower at 2s per head, merino wethers bringing from 21s to 26s cach and abovo; 100 were withdrawn from the side. Lamb, wero also lower in price. Calves were in full supply, and not so free ef sale, l'igs wero in limited supply, and sold freoly. AOCKLAND STOCK AND SHARE MARKET. MR. H. V. STARK'S REPORT.
