THE GREAT WORLD CIRCUS.
The members of tliis celebrated equestrian corps gave their second entertainment last evening at the Pavilion, between Fort and Custom-house-streets. Tile attendance was, if anything more numerous than on the opening night; "ivj noticed a large number of military officers and other influential persons present. There ■were at least 1200 persons comprising the audience. The programme was in the main similar to that of the previous evening. The opportunity afforded for practice had a very apparent effect. The athletic feats were performed with greater completeness and finish, leaving nothing to bfl desired. Mr. James Cooke added a great number of jests to those which lie hud previously promulgated, with several practical illustrations) which called forth roars of laughter. Messieurs Carlo and lioss went through tlieir inimitable acrobatic burlesque with perfect success, ana bignor Olma performed some very wonderlul acrobatic evolutions in a kind of cradle constructed for this particular purpose. As on the pre* ceding evening, Signor Olma was greeted with rounds of applause. Young lo lioy performed his sensational ride with greater completeness, if possible than on the preceding evening, Mdlle. Zoyara performed the usual feats with wonderful grace. and ease. Barney and Pete afforded an irresistible fund of amusement by the dexterity th" l which they threw off every competitor i° r a seat upon their backs. The whole entertainment was one of tlie most _ interesting that could have been devised. The Pavilion was crowded —there were at least twelve hundred persons present. An entire change of the performance was announced for Saturday nest, at two o'clock, when there will be a special performance for families.
