j The steamship ' Sea King' and the clipper j ship 'Empress' have been taken up by the j Imperial Government for the conveyance of | troops to Auckland. They were expected jto leave shortly after the mail. The firstj named vessel was to convey LI otlicers, ladies, and 4 children, 2(>S soldiers. IS women, and 5S children. The • Empress' ! was to convey 15 ollicers, 7 ladies, and 12 | children, oOli soldiers, 50 women, and 51 I children.
