WEEKLY MARKET. MR. J. TELFORD has arranged to have a weekly market on MONDAY and SATURDAY EVENINGS, at his Warehouse, from 4 to 7 o'clock, being intended chiefly for the accommodation of Workmen's Families. The following articles will be sold in small quantities, at reasonable prices : — Flour, oatmeal, sugar, tea, coffee, butter, c'neese )4 .candles, soap, &c. &c. ?i*ort Nicholson, June 15, 1840. ! GENERAL STORE. MR. TELFORD having recently made extensive purchases, begs to announce to his friends that lie has on sale, HARDWARE of the first quality, including a great variety of nails. FLOUR of first and second quality. GROCERIES.— Tea, sugars, coffee, butter, soap, candles, rice, curry powder, pickles and sauces, spiceries, ox tongues, pickled tripe, &c. WINES AND SPlßlTS.— Besides the usual supply of wines and spirits, there is a considerable quantity of Scotch Whiskey ; a limited quantity of Colonial Whiskey is expected early next week. -BOOTS AND SHOES. — There has been received a quantity of Wellington boots and Warren's blacking. BLANKETS. — Fresh arrivals have come to lund in 8-4 and 11-4, of various qualities and prices. HABERDASHERY.— There is a select but limited quantity on hand, including tapes, threads, black and coloured sewing silks and twist, worsted and darning cotton, needles, combs, India silk and cotton handkerchiefs, and braces, &c. DRAPERY.- -White cotton shirting, stout unbleached cotton, 40in. wide, Scotch linen sheeting, Irish linen, cotton checks, dark prints, &c. &c. OIL AND LAMPS.— This latter has received an increase of the best quality that has jet been offered in the Colony. There has also come to hand a small lot of Wqleigh and Neave's superior London beaver ftfcs, straw haw, sou' welters, Scaich caps, umbrellas, &c. CLOTHING, consisting of Jackets in beaverteen, corduroy, and duck ; waistcoats, in swandown and beaverteen ; trowsers, beaverteen.i corduroy, flushing, duck, &c. ; regatta, unbleached cotton, and stout striped shirts ; Guernsey frocks and lamb's wool under shirts, shirts, blue and red serge ditto, cotton and worsted hose. * TO THE RETAIL TRADE. Mr. Telford has peculiarly favourable attractions for the Trade in Fine cape powdered and salt butter, An extensive supply of rice, Raw sugars. STATIONERY, consisting of day books, pocket ledgers, note, memorandum, and pass books, writing paper, ink, slates, slate pencils, &c. Clothing of every description, Ticking. A few sets of scales and weights still on hand. PIGS. — From the disappointment and disputes about this week's arrival, Mr. Telford will in future decline promising to keep this stocky for particular parties ; but will send notices oi an expected arrival in a few days, and will be open to tender for the whole, within a specified time after arrival on the Beach. Several milch cows, one or two near calving. ON Sale, at COGLAN'S Waterloo Stores, Britannia, at very reduced prices, the following articles : Rice, per bag, 3d. per lb. Sugar, 4d. per lb., soap, per box, PJd. Hollands gin, 50s. 4, and 245. 2 gal. cases. Tuscan, bonnets, various sizes, from 10s. 6d. upwards. Salt beef at 3Jd. per lb. per tierce. Pork 6d. per lb. per tierce. HAND T. COOK beg to inform the • Pubhc that they have opened the house lately occupied by Mr. Heather as a Store, in connexion with their other establishment, where they intend to carry on business, and hope for a continuation of the patronage they have already so kindly received. COOK have just landed, at • their Stores, at Thorndon, from the "Kate," a large quantity of the following goods, which they can offer either wholesale or retail, at unusually low prices. . Shell and SorT Almonds, Malaga Raisins, Bottled Fruits, Sauces, Pickles, Anchovies, Spanish Olives, Fine Salad Oil, Mustard, Tea, Rice, Loaf Sugar, CORKS, Port and Sherry, Old Jamaica Rum (no Arrack,) Cheroots, Diaper Rugs, WITNEY BLANKETS, &c. &c. &c. „ Superior Sperm Oil, at 10s. per gallon.
