The following list of diversions have been determined upon, and the members of the Committee named are to be addressed respecting tlie arrangements. A Rowing Match, consisting of whale boats owned by the residents of Port Nicholson. Ist prize, £20 ; 2nd, £10 ; 3rd, £5. No race unless five boats start. Entrance fee, £2 each boat. And a Sailing Match, by boats owned by residents. Ist prize, £10 ; 2nd, £o. Entrance, £I;—managing1 ;— managing member, Capt. Chaffers. A Canoe Race, by Natives, £10 to be awarded as a prize, and a War Dance ;— managing member, Mr. R. Barrett. A Hurdle Race. Ist horse, £15; 2nd. to save his stakes. Entmnce fee, £3 each horse. Ist prize, £25, to purchase a rifle ; 2nd, £10, to purchase a fowling piece ; 3rd, £5, to purchase a brace of pistols. Entrance fee, £1;1 ;— managing members, Messrs. Molesworth and Duppa.
