Yachting.

Deak Fkee Lance, —In reference to the whereabouts of the Wellington yacht "Ethel" and owner, great anxiety is felt amongst the yachtsmen as to her safety and the life of her skipper, Mr Hill. I would like to point out to you that in the early part of this year I wrote a paragraph which appeared in the Lance drawing attention of the public to the foolhardiness of a man attempting to cross the Strait single-handed in a craft like the Ethel. She is a craft that requires two good seamen. I learn that the skipper nearly came to grief in Pelorus Sound through the craft missing stays. There is no doubt in my mind that the craft has either foundered or been driven ashore.—Yoiirs, etc. Skipper.
