Entered Outwards. September 12—Novelty, barque, for Sydney. ARRIVAL OF THE LADY YOUNG FROM VALPARAISO. The ship Lady Young, 418 tons, Captain Morrison, left this port on the 15th April for Valparaiso with light easterly winds which detained her on the coast in sight of the East Cape for ten days after leaving, loon after which she encountered a succession of gales from the southward and eastward, ultimately making her port in 45 days. She left again on the 18th June with light and variable winds which continued all the passage. She pat into Burutu one of the Anshal group, and after a tedious passage of 86 days arrived in the harbour yesterday at noon, haring sighted the Barrier on Sunday. The Lady Young brings one passenger Miss Price and a cargo of wheat, flour, and bran, consigned to Stone and Sson. Reports 4 foreign vessels loading for the Australia*, bnt nine for New Zealand when she left. ARRIVAL OF THE FLYING SQUIRREL FROM MELBOURNE. The schooner Eclipse, 45 tons, Captain Macarthur, left Invercargill on the 21st August; experienced very bad weather shortly after leaving and was obliged to put into Stewart’s Island for shelter for two days; and after that to go into Otago for a week for the same purpose. She had fine weather since leaving Otago with variable winds, and run the passage from thence in nine days. She brings 18 passengers and a quantity of timber as cargo.—Captain, agent. H.M.B.'. Miranda got under wsigh for the Kawam yesterday morning with his excellency Sir G. Grey and staff. * The Novelty entered outwards yesterday for Sydney. The Susanna Cuthbert s.s. cleared yesterday for Port Waikato with 250 tons Commissariat stores. A steamer was signalled at sunset, but had not arrived at a late hour. The captain of the Eclipse reported her being in the eastern paseage when he came up the harbour. It is supposed to be the Miranda or Falcon.
