The Ulcoats. —The mite Star clipper ship Ulcoats from London, via Auckland, arrived at 1 p.m., on Sunday. She left the latter port on the 23rd. ult.: experienced heavy easterly weather shortly after leaving—in consequence of which she was hove to for three days j she afterwards experienced available weather until Monday, the 6th mst., at which date Hayward Point, Otago Heads, bore S.W. by W 42 miles, when a heavy sou’wester sprung up, and drove her northword. The gale moderated on Wednesday, when she a<»ain stood in, and made Blueskin Bay on Thursday, but was again equally unsuccessful in making the port, as she caught the heavy sou’wester then prevailing, and was driven to leeward. On Friday, at midnight, the gale subsided ; set all sail, and beat up the coast, arriving as above. She brings part of original cargo from London, as also part of the Chariot of Fame’s cargo, which was shipped at Auckland, with the original passengers from London for Otago. —Otago Telegraph, Dec. 14.
