The Drury and Waiuku District is bounded on the North by the waters of the Manukau, and the division line known as Hewling’s line, between the parishes of Wairoa and Papakura, on the one side, and Hunua and Opaheki on the other ; on the East the Wairoa, Mangawheau and Mangatawhiri Rivers ; on the South, the Waikato River to its mouth, and on the West, the sea. THE Board of Education for the Province of Auckland, New Zealand, will receive applications up to 4th April, 1862, from persons willing to undertake the duties of Inspector of Schools and Secretary to the Board. The salary attached to the office is £3OO per annum, with an additional allowance of xso to cover travelling expenses. There arc 44 Schools at present in connection with the Board. The Inspector will be required to inspect the Schools once every year. As it will be necessary that the Inspector should conduct the examination of Teachers for certificates of merit, candidates will be required to state the different subjects they may consider themselves qualified to examine in.
