II M. ship Cordelia, Capt I. me, wasjust out of dock, and was expected to sail for AucklaiW on the 2nd proximo. Mrs. and Miss Warre have arrived from Sydney by the Miranda, A French transport, the Dorado, was in Sydney bound for Tahiti.

Whilst the Miranda was in Simons Uay, whence she sailed on the 2fith February, the China Expeditionary force touched thereon their return to England. Among these were the Rnyali, 3rd BuH'j. Royal Artillery, Marines, and other corps, exceeding live thousand men in all.

Sir George Grey was at Cape Town ; General Wynyard in the interior. Two Cape regiments, the 2nd battalion of the 13th, and the Mth were ordered to hold themselves in readiness for service in this country. Major Ilyan and three other officers of the 7'Hh regiment had arrived at Sydney from England, and were waiting to take pajtagefor this port. They sailed in all probability by the Lord Worsley, and if so, may be looked for immediately. H.M. ship Fawn, Capt C'ator. with a detachment of thn o\3th regt. on board, arrived in the Manukau, yesterday, eight days from Waitara. Contrary to the prevailing impression, she did not seek shelter at fort Hardy, but has been at sea the whole lime.
