The Missionary barque, John IVilliama^d Upolo, Navigator's Mauds, for the New Hebrides, and New Caledonia, the day prior to the Ann for Sydney, taking with her the Rev. Mr. Murray, of Tutuillah^aud a number of teachers, natives of Rorratougy. The Ann reports the loss of the schooner Petrel, late of Sulney, on one of the Happall Islands, she had been previously soU by Mr. Williams, of Upolo, to the King of those islands, for 25 tuns coroanut Oll « ,"<"' crew and part of her materials were saved. Ihe Wesleyan Missionary schooner Triton, was iving at Van van, the Ist of March, from Auckland, havm; touched at Tou^a'aboo. The whaler. Jane Eliza Bradley, of Sydney, was lying at Tongataboo, condemned. On her last cruise, she had been overtaken in a very heavy gale of wind, when they were obliged to cut her nn/eu topmast and topgallant mast to ease the vessel *, they lost three boats, and the vessel was making a deal of Writer. After putting into Totigatahoo, a survey was held by, the Captain and the carpenters ot two American whaling ships, when she was condemned, as uuseaworthy. She had on board 400 imperial barrels sperm oil. The Countess of TFdton, Bowles, hence, via New Zealand, arrived at Tahiti, about the middle ot February, and had sailed for the Dangerous Archipelago. The 6chooneiv7Yi«vms Lord, sailed for Oahu from Tahiti, in the beginning'of February. The schooner Governor Fttzroy, late of Russell, New Zealand, was lost on a small island off Riatea, she had on board live stock for Tahiti, the property of Messrs.
