The case of Frank Parnell, charged with setting tire to the gasworks' office,' came before the Magistrate this mbrn« ing.'Mr Barton, S.M., held that a prima facie case had not lieon made out, janddischarged accused.^ John Sheriff Dods, another employee of the__cjinvpany, was charged with env! bezzliug various amounts, the total involved between March, 1915, and May,: 1916, being £1713.
Accused pleaded guilty on the first series of .charges, and was committed for sentence. .
Accused was also charged with arson,
