At the inquest on the late MrTriggs, Dr Brown stated, that death was due to a ruptured left ventricle. The cause was not clear, There was no evidence of ptomaine poisoning. Dr Pottinger expressed the opinion that the pain deceased suffered was possibly due to an over-strain of the heart muscles fftom hurrying to catehn tfain or other fijo sical exertions, ■ • .^K

A post mortem revealed a rupture of the wall of the left heart ventricle, which was the cause of death, but there was nothing to show the cause of the rupture. .It might have bee'\ caused by vomiting, There was no trace of ptomaine poisoning.

' The coroner gave a verdict in accordance with the medical testimony.
