intimation has been received that Adjutant Nellie Newton, at present in charge-at Feilding, liiis been appointed to succeed Adjutant Dawkins in-com-mand of the local work of the Salvation Army. Adjutant Newton is a neice ,of Mr Heber Newton, of Oamarn, and has had a long and useful career as an officer, and is held in high esteem throughout the Salvation Army.
