■ • ' ♦■ - r•"BOCCACCIO," Mr H. S. Moore, manager of the Timaru operatic Society, was in town yesterday making arrangements for the visit of the Society on Friday, December 16th. Just on 80 persons are in the'company, including an oichestra of 20 performers. "Boccaccio," when given in Timaru, was such a success that the Society are putting it on again on January 2nd and 3rd, so the Oaraaru public may rest assured that <a real 'good treat is in store for them. Mr Moore was greatly impressed with the Oam'nru Theatre and its up-to-dateness, and 'ate the -antiaiuated Theatre ttoyal at Timaru, the contrast was> very great. The box plan will he open at Begg's on Friday morning, at 9 a.m., and many inquiries for reserved seats have already been made. There will 'be no extra charge for reserving seats, the prices,'owing to the great expense of bringing so large a company here, being Jis, 2s and Is.-
