Markland.the «um of £5, which ha I considered- value for a dog said to | have been;, poisoned on defendant's I property. •It appeared' from plain|'tiff's evidence, that he .did, on August' 7th' 'last, allow' his dog to I enter defendant's property. When i the dog returned he noticed its con : dition, and remarked upon it to his children. Shortly after the dog (lied, Plaintiff valued the dog"a 3 a watchdog. ■ .. Mr Kennedy and Mrs Johnston gave evidence as to the value of the animal, and also - as to its capa j bilitiuß as a watch dog. Judgment was.given for £1 and costs £l. ■ )£■'■' —Civil Actions.— J.
