Oats.—Stocks held locally are exceedingly BUiall, and aro not being maintained by fresh qousigmuonts. There is a steady local demand, in the faeo of which shippers have difficulty in supplying, their requirements on the basis if prices nt other ports. Good to best qualities have most, attention, but all Borta meet with ready sale. Wc tyiioto: Prime milling, 2s to 2s OJd ; good to best feed, Is lid to 2s; interior to medium, Is 9d t'o la 10} d per bushel (sacks cxtraj. Wheat.—Prime milling quality is the only class in favor with millers, who hnvo a preference for choice! lines of Central 'Otago Tuscan antf velvet, Medium samples are not greatly favored. Fowl wheat is offering In small quantities, and has fair enquiry. Wo quoto : Prime milling, 3s 3d to 3s 4cl; medium to good, 3s Id to 3s 2d; whole fowl wheat, 2s Mil to 3s; broken and damaged, 2s 8d to 2.h 10(1 per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.—Moderate supplies aro coming forward to an improved market. Prime table Denvqnts 'havo most attention, hut good, sound white sorts are also in demand. Small potatoes and infer or quality are not so readily iqulttfd. We quota: Prime Dorwents, £ll 10s to £ll 15s; others, £lO 10s to £ll ; small and inferior, £7 to £9 10s 'per ton ; best white potatoes, £lO Wis to £11; interior and medium, £8 to £lO per ton (sacks included). Chaff.—There is strong loen'l demand for prime, bright, heavy paten sheaf, and all samples of this class are sure of ready sale on arrival. Other kinds have little attention, there being few Myers for anything but (lie best quality.
