OUR VOLUNTEERS I BATTERY.
The abovo Company finished their eighth series of bhooting on SituicUy morning for trophies presented by Lieut - Col Sumpter, Mr Thos. Hilliker, and the O.imaru Mail. The conditions were 10 shots at 2')o, 300, and 700 yards. Sergt. Smith finished with n fair score at 700 yards, tho rest nowhere. The principal scores were :
