An oculist formulates the following rul«s for tho c»ro of tho eyoa for school work : 1. A comfortable temperature, and especially let tho fret bo kept warm and dry. 2. Good ventilation. 3. Clothing at tho neck loose ; tho same as r«* gards tho rest of the body. 4. Pottura erect ; never read lying down or stooping. 5. Littlo'study before breakfast op directly after a hearty meal ; none at all at twilight or late at night. 6. Greafc caution about study after recovery from fevers. 7. Light abundant, but nob dazzling. 8. Suq not shining on dwki or on objects in front of the scholar. 9. The book held at right angle* to the lin% of sight, or nearly so. 10. Frequently rest by looking up. 11. Distance of book from tho eye, aboot fifteen inchev*
