Nowadays the fiscal policy is always ft prominent plank in the platform of eyery politician, yet ia it a wise policy on tho part of the consumers to place a tax on the articles which they do not make but only consume? Suppose, for intance, that th« customß duty ia 33 per cent on imported goods, the wages of the laborer in all grades of employment in a country thus protected should be 33 per cent higher than in a free* trade country, to make things equal— but, is it ever the case ? True p otection, like charity, begins at home, and in these days ■when the air is laden with microbes, bacteria and other germs of di ease, id behoves us all to be on our guard againtfi the common enemy ; old age kills but lewt disease sKiyi its thousands ani millions, and all because mankind is so apathetic and careless about first signs of approaching sickness. Neuralgia is one of the most positive signs of the approach of some physical affection, and require*, immediate attention, before it has progressed beyond human did and fatal disease has got hold of soire \ital organ. S. C. Reilly, Eaq.g writes under date June Ist, 1891, from Ga ner's Avenue, Marrickville, N.S.W. | " 1 can with confidence bear testimony to the wonderful curative powers of Clement! Tonic. For years I have been periodically attacked and a great sufferer from neuralgia and general debility, and anycue who haa ever been afll cted with such nervous misery can form an llea of what I suffced. I had aho chronic indigestion, general languid feelings and an utter dislike to exert my« 8 'if. The i.euralgia was so severe that I havo pjced the h\ I all night and the agony was so excruoiating that I was almost out of my mind. I tried all so-called remediet, also galvanic treatment, which did no good. At last a friend recommended Clementt Tonic, and I wis so miserable and disheartened that 1 purchased a small bottle lud after the second dose felt great relief. I continued its use and am thankful to say that after 24 hours the pain had dia» appeared, and I was free from the nenrous urror. I continued Clementa Tonic and have t iken four bottles ; all my langour ia gone, I am Jree from indigestion, I can do a da>'s work with any man, and eat like ft hor^e , and have great pleasure in recom* mending Clements Tonic to anyone suffering from nervous complaints. — Yours truly.
