At tha municipal election"? in south w.ird a well known " sport " (A. E. GloTer) defeated Dr Walker, the out* going councillor. Mrs Amelia Watson was defeated for P^rnell by only 13 votas, A nun named Morrison, near Ellorslie, died suddenly this afternoon. His son, with whom dec»ased lived, lefb the house to c^tch <i horae, and on returning a feir minutes afterwards found his fttthfiff deid. News h« been received by the mail of the death, in California, through being thrown from a buggy, of C. F. Webb, tha only son of the hte Captain Webb, United States' Vice-Consul here, and of whose death news wai received by lasl mtil.
